So I’ve been incredibly lucky to have received yet another package from Maybelline, which I’m so grateful for. The team were lovely enough to send me some goodies from their brand new product launches, including some stunning new lipsticks, lip balms, nails polishes and more!
Firstly I’ll mention the products I haven’t been able to stop using since I opened them – Baby Lips Holiday Spice Edition in ‘Chai Tea Latte’ (it smells so good I honestly think Mark would wear it if it wasn’t tinted red!!) and ‘Vanilla Cupcake’ -insert heart eyes emoji here- which are brilliant for keeping my lips hydrated and they’re in really pretty shades too (plus they smell divine!) Definitely worth checking these out.
This metals trend looks as though it’s here to stay, with Rose Gold/Copper everything being super popular right now Maybelline are definitely keeping up with the latest trends, with the new Super Stay 7 Days Metallic Silks nail polishes in ‘Golden Thread’, ‘Silver Satin’ and (the beloved rose gold shade) ‘Rose Veil’. And these aren’t the only new polishes, there are also some beautiful new shades coming to the Color Show ‘Preppy Woman’ collection – ‘Dear Magenta’, ‘Top Coat Tweedy’ and ‘Runway Rose’, which I luurrve.
Onto lipsticks… I can honestly say I adore each and every shade of lipstick I was sent in this package. I was sent 4 from the Color Sensational Creamy Mattes range and 4 from the Color Sensational Loaded Bolds range. I’ve been mixing Creamy Mattes ‘Clay Crush’ and ‘Blushing Pout’ together to make a beautiful nude shade by applying Clay Crush to my bottom lip and Blushing Pout to my upper lip and pressing my lips together to blend. I then apply Baby Lips lip gloss in ‘Taupe With Me’ over the top. These lipsticks have a creamy consistency and are highly pigmented.
Creamy Mattes – (L-R): Burgundy Blush, Rich Ruby, Clay Crush, Blushing Pout
Loaded Bolds – (L-R: Midnight Merlot, Berry Bossy, Fiery Fuchsia, Orange Danger)
Finally, say hello to the new Drama Intense Lip Paints! I received 4 in the shades ‘Red-dy Or Not’, Fight Me Fuchsia’, ‘Vamped Up’ and ‘Never Bare’. I’ve seen some people compare them to the OCC Lip Tar and also the Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks (both of which I’ve not tried so I can’t comment). They are very easy to apply, with a sponge applicator which makes the process of shaping your lips a dream. The consistency is just perfect; not too thick and not too thin, and lasts very well (about 6 hours) and they have a sort of Watermelon scent. They have a great colour pay off and don’t bleed at all. These aren’t matte lipsticks so they won’t dry out your lips either so they are very comfortable to wear.
(L-R): Red-dy Or Not, Fight Me Fuchsia, Vamped Up, Never Bare
A huge thank you to Maybelline for sending me these beautiful products!
Thanks so much for reading!
